Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, offers a full-time engineering co-op for students pursuing Electrical or Architectural Engineering. You will gain hands-on training in electrical design on MEP projects, learning from professional engineers in AutoCAD and Revit, and contributing to real CMTA projects.

This onsite role in Columbus (OH) starts May 2027 and runs through Summer 2027, with flexible dates and potential rotations toward full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Preferably a sophomore or junior level student.
• Interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Learn electrical system basics: power, distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed layout and equipment details for electrical systems.
• Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Assist in assembling organized drawing sets with the design team.
• Support data collection and field verification as needed.
