Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities. This hybrid role supports projects across the region and collaborates with engineers, drafters, and managers.

You’ll plan production using AutoCAD and Revit, define equipment layouts, and ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and PE license are preferred; relocation not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with power distribution (low/medium voltage).
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software.
• Familiarity with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, LEED building standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan production for industrial (water/wastewater) facilities using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines, including architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape design.
• Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with industry codes and standards.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop distribution station plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation.
• Prepare electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.
