Job summary

ms consultants, inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure, with a hybrid work option for flexibility.

The role supports planning, design, and coordination with disciplines to deliver reliable power distribution and protection for critical facilities. You'll collaborate with engineers, drafters, and project managers, applying AutoCAD/Revit and NEC/ICC codes while pursuing professional licensure and contributing to sustainable water

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Familiar with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes and LEED standards.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan production for industrial (water/wastewater) and environmental facilities utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines, including architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape design.
• Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with all applicable industry codes and standards.
• Must be able to interpret customer requirements and develop appropriate distribution station plans and specifications.
• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation.
• Preparing electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.
