Job summary

HWC Engineering seeks an Electrical Engineer to join its Water Resources team in Indianapolis. You will design power distribution, motor control, lighting, and instrumentation for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, and develop drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 3–5+ years of relevant experience, strong NEC/NFPA knowledge, and solid project coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5+ years experience in electrical engineering and design for water/wastewater or heavy industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design.
• Strong understanding of NEC/NFPA and Life Safety Codes.
• Excellent time management, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, motor control, lighting, and instrumentation systems for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
• Develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and circuiting for process and facility electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical infrastructure with SCADA and automation needs.
• Prepare bidding documents and construction specifications for municipal projects.
• Review drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
