Job summary

ms consultants, inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for water and wastewater projects in a hybrid role spanning Indianapolis, IN; Pittsburgh, PA; Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, and Youngstown, OH. You’ll design electrical systems for critical infrastructure and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred) and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and NEC/ NFPA codes. A PE license is preferred or can be pursued within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with power distribution, low/medium voltage, lighting, and controls.
• Familiarity with NEC, ICC, NFPA codes; LEED building standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan production for water/wastewater facilities using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate design elements with architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape disciplines.
• Define equipment layouts and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations; adhere to codes and standards.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop distribution station plans and specifications.
• Collaborate on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation.
• Prepare electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.
