Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a fully integrated AEC firm in Oak Brook, IL. The role involves designing electrical systems across the full project lifecycle, from schematic design through post-occupancy, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet client objectives and sustainability goals.

The position requires 4–8 years of experience, a PE license, and a degree in electrical engineering, with a master’s degree as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• 4–8 years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required for Engineer title; Designer designation possible.
• Experience with electrical design for buildings and BIM.
• LEED certification or similar sustainability credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop building electrical systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in full project lifecycle from schematic design to post-occupancy.
• Produce electrical design documentation, BIM models, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory documentation with local agencies.
• Support construction administration, site observations, and commissioning.
