Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our hybrid team in Reston, VA. You will design, implement and monitor electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with local and national codes and integrating hybrid technology.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 5+ years in electrical project engineering, and proficiency with AGI and SKM. LEED AP preferred; energy modeling and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required
• Minimum of 5 years in electrical project engineering, preferably construction
• Proficiency with AGI, SKM lighting design programs
• LEED AP certification strongly preferred; Lighting Design Certificate asset
• Experience with energy modeling
• Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for construction projects per electrical codes
• Create energy-efficient lighting solutions using AGI/SKM
• Monitor design and installation to ensure high performance
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and PMs to integrate systems
• Incorporate hybrid technologies into design work
• Apply LEED AP practices for sustainable design
• Conduct energy modeling and optimize designs
• Maintain detailed design and implementation documentation
