Job summary
Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the CMOE at NASA Langley Research Center, under the Electrical Engineering Project Manager. This role involves designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems, with emphasis on controls and instrumentation, engineering analyses, and construction cost estimates.
US Citizenship is required and a PE license is preferred. Candidates may hold varying levels of experience and classifications per posting, with on-site work
Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required.
- Electrical Engineer degree from an accredited engineering school with 3–5 years of related experience, or MS with 2–3 years, or PhD from an accredited engineering school.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
Responsibilities
- Performs specific engineering tasks under supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Prepare computations, specifications, and reports of limited scope.
- Capable of designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
- General experience in controls and instrumentation; prepare engineering analyses and construction cost estimates.
- Independently resolve technical questions using advanced methods and modified practices.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work on large or complex projects.
