Job summary

SSOE Group in Arizona seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for high-performance facilities, with a focus on cleanrooms and mission-critical spaces. You will develop concepts, perform load studies, and design low and medium voltage power distribution for reliable operation.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure code compliance, constructability, and timely project delivery. Strong judgment and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• PE license preferred; may qualify for higher salary.
• FE/EIT exam completed is highly desired.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
• Experience with large-scale facilities and design-build.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and engineering for advanced technology and semiconductor facilities, including conceptual development and construction documents.
• Design and coordinate low and medium voltage power distribution systems and related switchgear.
• Create one-lines, risers, equipment schedules, and power plans with calculations.
• Do load flow and short-circuit studies and arc flash mitigation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain schedule.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and design reviews for code compliance.
• Support design-build delivery by handling RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site walks and field investigations to verify conditions and support construction.
• Mentor junior staff through design reviews and calculations.
