Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to ensure safe operation and reliability of the electrical infrastructure at our Devon site. You will lead the site's electrical safety program, ensuring training and competency, and oversee electrical projects from planning to execution.

The role requires strong knowledge of high/medium/low voltage systems, electrical schematics, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Associate or technical degree in electrical technology with 5–10 years manufacturing experience or a B.E. with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
Experience with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, OSHA, UL, NEMA, ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct studies to determine electrical requirements for equipment, systems, and facilities for capital and non-capital projects.
Develop scope reports, equipment specs, bid requests, schedules, cost estimates, and appropriation requests.
Supervise design, installation, start-up, testing and debug of electrical/automated equipment.
Ensure final project documentation including as-builts, procedures, and training guides.
Oversee preventive maintenance of distribution equipment (transformers, switchgear, busways).
Manage arc flash study program for the site.
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting electrical issues, including off shifts as needed.
Implement continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
