Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking an Electrical Engineer at our Devon site to ensure safe operation, regulatory compliance, and reliability of electrical infrastructure. You will lead the site's electrical safety program as Competent Person, plan and execute projects, and support maintenance with troubleshooting of electrical equipment.

The role requires strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA/OSHA standards, experience with high/medium/low voltage systems, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Associate/technical degree with 10+ years in manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, OSHA, UL, NEMA, ANSI

Responsibilities

• Determine electrical requirements for new/modified equipment and facilities.
• Develop scope reports, equipment specs, bid requests, schedules, cost estimates.
• Supervise design, installation, start-up, testing and debugging of electrical/automated equipment.
• Ensure final project documentation including as-built drawings, procedures and training guides.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of distribution equipment (transformers, switchgear, busways).
• Manage arc flash study program.
• Assist maintenance in troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Occasionally provide off-shift support.
• Implement continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
