Job summary

Create Energy in Portland, TN seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer & Technical Solutions Specialist to design and deploy solar PV, BESS, EV charging, and microgrid systems. You will translate customer needs into engineered solutions, lead technical discussions with the commercial team, and support proposals and system designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in renewable energy or power systems.
• 3+ years of commercial/sales experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for solar PV, BESS, EV charging, and microgrid products and projects.
• Create single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, conduit layouts, and panel schedules.
• Perform load calculations, power flow studies, fault current analysis, and arc flash assessments.
• Ensure NEC, IEEE, UL, and local codes compliance.
• Coordinate with labs for product testing and approvals.
• Prepare documentation and manage submissions for safety and performance certifications.
• Maintain records of design revisions and test results.
• Contribute to internal design standards and product innovation.
