Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop permit drawings and construction documents to support field electricians on diverse projects, from design/build to large-scale installations.

You will collaborate with project managers, designers, and BIM teams, perform engineering studies, and ensure compliance with NEC and energy codes while mentoring others and maintaining QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT/EI certification or PE license; ability to sit for the Electrical PE exam within 1–2 years if not yet licensed.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical facilities power design, including lighting and receptacle layouts, circuiting and panelboard schedules, and load calculations and equipment sizing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares detailed electrical engineering permit drawings and construction installation documents to support field execution.
• Develops conceptual designs, sketches, and value engineering ideas to support project managers and estimators during planning and preconstruction.
• Prepares electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation throughout all phases of construction.
• Under supervision, develops, reviews, and validates engineering studies including arc flash, short circuit, OCPD, duct bank ampacity, load, lighting, and power factor correction.
• Coordinates with vendors and reviews shop drawings to model accurate, fully constructible electrical systems, including equipment, conduit, and cable tray within Revit.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with customers and project teams; provides technical guidance to others.
