Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop permit drawings and construction documents for a range of projects from design/build to hyper-scale developments. You will collaborate with field electricians, project managers, and BIM teams to deliver fully constructible designs while ensuring compliance with NEC and energy codes.

You will perform engineering studies, coordinate with vendors, review shop drawings in Revit, and contribute to QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT/EI certification or PE license; ability to sit for the Electrical PE exam within 1–2 years if not yet licensed.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical facilities power design, including lighting and receptacle layouts, circuiting and panelboard schedules, and load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk tools, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares detailed electrical engineering permit drawings and construction installation documents to support field execution.
• Develops conceptual designs, sketches, and value engineering ideas to support project managers and estimators during planning and preconstruction.
• Prepares electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation throughout all phases of construction.
• Under supervision, develops, reviews, and validates engineering studies including arc flash, short circuit, OCPD, duct bank ampacity, load, lighting, and power factor correction.
• Coordinates with vendors and reviews shop drawings to model accurate, fully constructible electrical systems, including equipment, conduit, and cable tray within Revit.
