Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Project Designer to join our Rochester, NY office. You will lead electrical design, contribute to Revit/AutoCAD modeling, and coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil disciplines to ensure design intent.

You will supervise staff, perform calculations, review drawings, and support project coordination and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a lighting/electrical emphasis.
• Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience.
• Professional Engineering license not required but encouraged.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design documentation using Revit/AutoCAD and guide juniors.
• Supervise staff to develop skills and mentoring.
• Develop design through sketches, calculations, models, diagrams.
• Prepare site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Perform field work and review facility conditions for design.
• Lead construction administration duties, respond to RFIs and manage submittals.
