Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an SME Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and integration of PLC, VFD and UPS systems for a 24/7 facility in Taylor, TX. You will develop hardware specs, write control software, and validate full-system performance.

The role requires expertise in power‑system engineering, PLC programming, and networked control systems, with a focus on reliability and fault analysis in a high‑stakes manufacturing environment. On‑site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs and UPS hardware and system controls.
• Strong networking, automation principles, and programming language knowledge.
• Expertise in power‑system engineering including utility interfacing and protection coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial automation systems with PLCs, VFDs and UPS specs and integration.
• Assess electrical systems for compatibility and safety with PLC/VFD/UPS equipment.
• Develop PLC/VFD/UPS software using LD, FBD, ST or SFC.
• Test, validate and commission systems, including UPS transfer and battery tests.
• Create documentation and provide training for operators and clients.
