Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform calculations, develop designs, and prepare technical reports for industrial power systems. You will collect data, develop specifications, evaluate bids, and review vendor drawings under senior guidance.

Field work and cross-department collaboration are integral to the role. The ideal candidate holds an accredited E.E. degree, a PE license is highly preferred, and has 5+ years in electrical systems design within a consulting setting.

Qualifications

• Accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• 5+ years electrical systems design in consulting.
• Knowledge of single lines, P&IDs, NEC standards.
• Power distribution, substation and hardware specification.
• Arc flash studies, short circuit analysis, voltage drop.
• Lighting design, grounding and protection.
• Utility interface design understanding.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and perform detailed engineering calculations.
• Write formal engineering and technical reports.
• Develop specifications and evaluate bids for best value design.
• Perform field work to check installations and solve problems.
