Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop basic electrical designs for industrial and power delivery projects. You will gather data, create distribution designs, one-line drawings, load studies, and equipment lists, then hand your work to senior engineers for review before client presentation.

This hands-on role blends analytical design with field work, visiting client facilities, walking sites, and coordinating with project teams to apply standards and deliver solid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of power distribution and electrical fundamentals.
• Ability to read technical drawings, standards, and equipment docs.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data to prepare basic electrical designs for client projects.
• Develop power and distribution designs and one-line drawings.
• Perform load studies and supporting calculations.
• Prepare power equipment lists and support transformer, switchgear, and motor selection.
• Develop area classification docs and HT/lighting drawings.
• Apply standards to engineering work products.
• Submit work for senior review before client presentation.
• Visit client facilities to collect field data and support design development.
