Bala Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our Wayne, PA office. You will design electrical distribution, fire alarm and lighting control systems, and perform on-site surveys to support enterprise-wide projects.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 3–6 years of experience, with familiarity in short circuit calculations, arc flash coordination, and photometrics. Revit proficiency is expected; PE/EIT and LEED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical power distribution, lighting, and related systems.
• Knowledge of short circuit, arc flash coordination, and photometric calculations.
• Background in commercial and data center design is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare calculations for feeders, services, short circuit, transformer size.
• Design building electrical distribution, fire alarm and lighting control systems.
• Perform on-site surveys of existing electrical equipment.
• Determine schedules and details for projects; review with project engineer.
• Attend job meetings as required and ensure flow of information between disciplines.
• Assist in writing reports and feasibility studies and support developing electrical standards.
• Prepare cost estimates and specifications.
• Experience in design of commercial and data centers preferred.
