Job summary

Planate Management Group (PMG) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support planning, design, implementation, and inspection of electrical systems for construction projects in Raleigh, NC. The role ensures compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, conducting site inspections, supporting installation and commissioning, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and evaluate electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Conduct site inspections to assess electrical installations for compliance and deficiencies.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, cost estimates, and other project documentation.
• Identify electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions to maintain safety.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for compliance.
• Provide technical recommendations to address design discrepancies and field conditions.
