Planate Management Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support planning, design, implementation, and inspection of electrical systems for construction projects. You will ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 2-4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. EIT/PE progress is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, design, construction, or project support.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, power distribution, lighting, grounding.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and evaluate electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and documents.
• Conduct site inspections of electrical installations for deficiencies and code compliance.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, architects, and other disciplines to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance per plans and specs.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, cost estimates, and project docs.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions for safety.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for compliance.
• Provide technical recommendations addressing design discrepancies and field conditions.
