The role involves preparing diagrams, writing specifications, and coordinating with field teams. A 1–5 year background in substation design and a bachelor's in EE or EE Tech are required; FE/PE is a plus. Hybrid or remote work options apply.

Qualifikationen

  • 1–5 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution; electric power option preferred.
  • FE, PE is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with substation electrical design and power systems.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with relevant Codes and Standards.

  • Performs detailed design on all aspects of substation electrical power systems, including diagrams, SCADA, wiring, grounding, and equipment selection.
  • Prepares computer-based models and power system studies (short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonics).
  • Develops protective relay settings and related protective schemes.
  • Produces cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and study reports.

Electrical Engineer – Data Center SubstationsMid LevelAbout the PositionAs a mid level Electrical Engineer in the Data Center Substations group, you will be responsible for performing engineering design and analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. You will be responsible for supporting client projects and providing a quality deliverable that is on time and within the defined budget.Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 / yearThe salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerforms detailed design on all aspects of substation electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project schedulingPrepares computer-based models and perform power system studies on utility and industrial/commercial electrical power transmission and distribution systems, including short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, power factor, harmonic analysis, and other related studies.
