NEI Electric Power Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to lead the physical scope of multi-disciplinary substation projects, perform design and analysis, and ensure deliverables meet NEI standards.
Openings span data centers, renewables, and utilities with salary ranging from $110,000 to $165,000 per year. The role supports both local in-office work in Lakewood, CO, and full-time remote candidates; travel is typical at 15–25%.
As aSubstation Project Engineer, you will lead the physical scope of multi-disciplinary substation projects while performing engineering design and analysis. You will contribute technical expertise, support project execution, perform QA/QC reviews, and collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with NEI standards.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000 / year
The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.
This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.
You will perform engineering design, analysis, and review for physical substation deliverables, including;
