Job summary

Stillpoint AEC in Atlanta is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its growing MEP team to design building electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and educational projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers through design, coordination, and construction phases, utilizing Revit and AutoCAD, NEC knowledge, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering required
• Experience designing building electrical systems including power and lighting
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
• Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standards
• Experience in MEP/consulting environments beneficial
• EIT/PE preferred

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Prepare electrical calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
• Develop electrical plans utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
• Assist with electrical equipment selection and system layout development
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases
• Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design reviews
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction
• Assist with site visits and field investigations as required
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, energy codes, and applicable industry standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery

Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a respected MEP consulting engineering firm to identify an Electrical Engineer for its Atlanta office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a growing firm known for delivering high-quality electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and technology engineering solutions across a diverse range of commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, multifamily, municipal, and institutional projects.

The Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and coordination of building electrical systems while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers on both renovation and new construction projects. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment who is looking to expand technical skills, gain project exposure, and continue growing within a collaborative engineering team.
