Job summary

Stillpoint AEC, a nationally recognized multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm in Miami, invites an Electrical Engineer to join our design team. You will design electrical systems for diverse facilities, coordinate with disciplines, and support project delivery from concept to construction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, an active EIT, and experience with SKM/ETAP; a PE is preferred. This hybrid role offers mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Current experience in electrical engineering within a consulting engineering environment.
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting, and building electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems for various facilities.
  • Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Develop and review electrical and lighting plans through all design phases.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Utilize electrical modeling software for analysis and coordination studies.
  • Support medium-voltage distribution and protection system design efforts.

Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a nationally respected multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm in Miami, FL to identify an Electrical Engineer. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm known for delivering innovative and technically advanced engineering solutions across industrial, commercial, healthcare, higher education, institutional, and government sectors.

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design and coordination of power distribution, lighting, and electrical infrastructure systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. This role is ideal for an engineer with current experience in consulting engineering who enjoys technical problem-solving, project coordination, and working on diverse project types within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems for a variety of facility types
  • Prepare electrical calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
  • Develop and review electrical and lighting plans throughout all phases of design
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, civil, architectural, and other engineering disciplines
  • Utilize electrical modeling software for system analysis, short circuit studies, arc flash studies, and coordination studies
  • Support medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection system design efforts
  • Participate in construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field coordination
  • Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, architects, and project stakeholders
  • Support business development and client relationship initiatives as opportunities arise
  • Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and the continued growth of the engineering team
  • Travel periodically for project meetings and site visits as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • Current experience in electrical engineering within a consulting engineering environment
  • EIT certification required
  • PE license preferred
  • Strong experience designing electrical systems for industrial, healthcare, higher education, commercial, institutional, or government facilities
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting, and building electrical systems required
  • Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software required
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related codes and standards
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and related design software preferred
  • Experience with medium-voltage distribution and protection systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Desire and ability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplines
