Job summary

Futures Consulting, LLC in Indianapolis is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing MEP team. This role blends building systems design with project ownership, client interaction, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

You will manage electrical tasks from design through construction, collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors, and mentor junior staff. Experience in MEP consulting and NEC/NFPA knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical building systems design experience.
• Experience in an MEP consulting environment preferred.
• Experience managing project tasks, schedules, or smaller projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and construction practices.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• EIT preferred; PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering tasks and smaller to mid-sized projects.
• Support project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Lighting and lighting controls.
• Emergency and standby power.
• Low-voltage and specialty systems.
• Prepare and review construction documents.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams.

• Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Perform site surveys and construction observations.
• Assist with proposals, fee estimates, and client presentations.
