Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to join a California-based MEP consulting team. The role involves designing electrical systems for commercial buildings from concept through construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of MEP consulting engineering experience.
  • Experience designing commercial building electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting systems, site electrical systems, and photovoltaic systems.
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
  • Experience with SKM Power Tools, Design Master, Bluebeam Revu, ComCheck, EnergyPro.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple engineering projects, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Attend client meetings and coordinate project requirements.
  • Perform site visits to document existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
  • Design electrical systems from conceptual design through construction documents.
  • Develop electrical designs using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Design building power distribution systems.
  • Design lighting systems.
  • Design site electrical systems.
  • Design photovoltaic (solar) systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations including voltage drop, fault current, and arc flash analysis.
