Job summary

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Barton, AL facility. This engineering professional will support manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance to optimize process controls and improve run-ability.

The role requires thorough knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and train others, lead safety initiatives, and work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of PLCs.
• Thorough knowledge of VFDs.
• Demonstrate the ability properly troubleshoot complex control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic components and systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic components and systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and process controls.
• Ability to work as an electrician if needed.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with engineers, maintenance planners, process leads, and trades people.
• Attend safety initiatives and maintenance outage planning meetings.
• Solve repetitive equipment reliability issues with operations and engineering.
• Provide technical assistance to E/I Technicians for repairs and run-ability.
• Develop equipment preventative maintenance procedures with Reliability.
• Assist with daily emergency repairs as needed.
• Share knowledge to improve equipment efficiency with teams.
