Job summary

Adient in Clanton, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to design, develop and support electrical control systems for plant equipment, with emphasis on PLC hardware/software. You will work with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, perform programming, testing, and debugging, and assist with training and production-support duties to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Experience designing and debugging PLC programs.
Experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Ability to install and support PLC hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.
Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software. Programmable knowledge in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's.
Assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements in all areas of the facility.
Assist with PLC and PC training as required.
Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs. Maintains and documents programs.
Assists higher level programmer/analyst/engineer with design work. Follows established methods and procedures.
Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner.
Helps provide solutions in making technical logic meet the needs of the users.
