Job description

Our client is an ambitious engineering company developing next-generation industrial power systems designed to solve one of the world's biggest infrastructure challenges: delivering reliable, high-density power for rapidly growing compute and AI applications.

Operating like a true engineering startup, they're designing complex hardware from first principles and are looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems, moving quickly, and owning their work from concept through commissioning.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of low-voltage electrical systems across a clean-sheet industrial power platform.

This is a rare opportunity to define the electrical architecture from the ground up rather than supporting legacy equipment. You'll work across electrical design, mechanical integration, manufacturing, controls, and commissioning, taking ownership from early concept through first energization and test.

If you enjoy solving multidisciplinary engineering challenges and want to see the systems you design operate in the real world, this role offers exceptional technical ownership.

What You'll Do

  • Develop low-voltage electrical architectures for complex industrial equipment

  • Design electrical power distribution, protection, control, and instrumentation systems

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and test engineers throughout development

  • Support first builds, electrical checkout, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations

  • Ensure electrical systems are robust, manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable

Key Areas of Responsibility

You'll support the design and integration of systems including:

  • Low-voltage AC/DC power distribution

  • Motor control systems and electrical protection

  • Control panels and electrical enclosures

  • Instrumentation and sensor integration

  • Cable harnesses, connectors, junction boxes, and wiring architecture

  • Grounding, bonding, shielding, and EMI/EMC considerations

  • Auxiliary equipment and balance-of-plant electrical systems

  • Interfaces between electrical hardware and control systems

What We're Looking For

  • Experience designing low-voltage electrical systems for industrial equipment, rotating machinery, power generation, aerospace, or similar complex products

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical integration

  • Experience producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and electrical documentation

  • Hands-on experience supporting system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting

  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary engineering teams

  • Practical engineering mindset with the ability to solve problems both at the desk and on the production floor

Nice to Have

  • Experience with turbines, generators, compressors, engines, or other rotating machinery

  • Knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation

  • Familiarity with grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, and electrical safety standards

  • Experience supporting prototype builds or commissioning activities

Why Join?

  • Design a clean-sheet electrical system from the ground up

  • Work across the full engineering lifecycle—from concept through commissioning

  • Join a fast-growing engineering company tackling technically challenging, high-impact products

  • Work alongside experienced multidisciplinary engineers in a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment

  • Competitive salary, equity, relocation support, and comprehensive benefits
