Job summary

Enscicon Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead industrial power projects across energy, oil & gas, and transition initiatives. You will guide design, review technical deliverables, and serve as the primary interface with clients and stakeholders throughout development, optimization, and commissioning.

The role requires a PE or eligibility, 10+ years in industrial facilities, and hands-on experience with medium- and low-voltage equipment, ETAP/SKM, and heavy-duty power

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial facilities.
  • Experience in power generation, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure soon.
  • Experience specifying medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Experience developing and reviewing detailed electrical design packages.
  • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis software.
  • Experience leading projects and serving as a client-facing engineering representative.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering activities for industrial projects from concept through construction support.
  • Develop and review electrical system designs, specifications, calculations, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and review electrical drawing packages: load lists, grounding plans, area classifications, conduit layouts.
  • Develop specifications for medium- and low-voltage equipment: pad-mounted transformers, PDCs, switchgear, MCCs.
  • Perform or oversee electrical studies using ETAP, SKM, or similar software.
  • Review calculations, drawings, and deliverables prepared by others.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet objectives, schedules, and quality.
  • Serve as primary engineering contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to teams.
  • Support execution, commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting as needed.

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of industrial energy projects, including power generation, oil & gas, and emerging energy transition initiatives. This role will provide technical leadership throughout project development and execution while serving as a key interface between engineering teams, clients, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in industrial power systems, electrical equipment specification, engineering design, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering activities for industrial projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and construction support.
  • Develop and review electrical system designs, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
  • Prepare and review electrical drawing packages, including:
  • Load lists
  • Grounding plans
  • Area classification drawings
  • Conduit and cable tray layouts
  • Heat trace calculations and layouts
  • Develop technical specifications for medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment, including:
  • Pad-mounted transformers
  • Power Distribution Centers (PDCs)
  • Switchgear
  • Switchboards
  • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
  • Perform or oversee electrical system studies using ETAP, SKM, or similar software.
  • Review engineering calculations, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project objectives, schedules, and quality requirements are achieved.
  • Serve as a primary engineering point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure in the near term.
  • Experience specifying medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Experience developing and reviewing detailed electrical engineering design packages.
  • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis software.
  • Experience leading projects and serving as a client-facing engineering representative.
  • Strong understanding of applicable industry codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and NFPA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Power generation project experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting greenfield and brownfield facilities.
  • FEED, detailed design, EPC, or owner's engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting carbon capture, energy transition, or process facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage client relationships.
