The role covers medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, electrical equipment, control-system hardware, technical documentation, and interdisciplinary system interfaces.

The successful candidate will work with internal engineering teams, equipment vendors, system integrators, and contractors throughout the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and startup phases of projects.

This position is well suited to an engineer with a solid electrical engineering foundation, practical problem-solving skills, and an interest in developing broader expertise across industrial power, controls, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and development of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Read, develop, and maintain electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and related engineering documentation.
  • Develop technical specifications and datasheets for MV and LV electrical equipment.
  • Perform electrical calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Support the selection and application of transformers, switchgear, switchboards, power-distribution panels, UPS systems, power supplies, VFDs, PLC hardware, and related equipment.
  • Review equipment layouts, electrical clearances, cable routing, grounding, and interfaces between electrical, controls, mechanical, and other systems.
  • Support RFQ preparation, technical bid evaluations, and vendor-proposal reviews.
  • Review vendor drawings, datasheets, test procedures, and other technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and coordinate technical comments, document revisions, and engineering action items.
  • Support electrical protection, grounding, power-system studies, and equipment-coordination activities as required.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and control-system hardware.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, electronic power supplies, and other laboratory or field-test equipment.
  • Support basic industrial computer and network activities, including IP-address configuration, operating-system setup, software installation, and hardware deployment.
  • Prepare clear technical records, test reports, procedures, and engineering documentation.
  • Follow applicable engineering processes, safety requirements, codes, standards, and change-management procedures.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3 -6 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, utility, infrastructure, or similar environment.
  • Experience developing technical specifications for medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with electrical equipment vendors, contractors, or system integrators.
  • Experience performing electrical calculations and sizing, including cables, breakers, lighting, conduits, and related electrical equipment.
  • Experience reading and developing electrical single-line and schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with industrial power-distribution equipment and electrical system interfaces.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Willingness to participate in hands-on testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and field-support activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • The following experience is beneficial but not required :
  • Basic experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Basic experience with LTspice, MATLAB, or comparable engineering and simulation tools.
  • Exposure to Ignition Automation, PLCs, industrial automation, or SCADA systems.
  • Experience installing or deploying PLC and automation hardware.
  • Familiarity with medium-or-low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
