Job summary

Bechtel invites an experienced Electrical Engineer to participate in the design, development, and evaluation of electrical components for a major API manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes leading scope determination and cost estimates for electrical aspects, with collaboration across multiple disciplines.

The position is part-time telework with at least three days in-person weekly, requiring coordination with project leadership to set schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or international equivalent.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience depending on seniority.
• Experience with medium to large electrical equipment allocations (transformers, switchgear, UPS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical engineering methods and apply appropriate criteria with independent judgment.
• Lead design, development, modification of electrical components and processes.
• Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare conceptual studies, designs, and technical proposals.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex regulatory issues and standards.
• Support project and construction teams in meeting electrical requirements during execution.
