Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Houston API facility project. You will plan, develop, and review electrical design work, producing drawings and estimates, while coordinating with clients and other disciplines to ensure regulatory compliance.

Role requires strong leadership, design verification, and the ability to solve complex technical issues across construction, ES&H, quality, and project controls. Houston-based, full-time office/project environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC, NEMA, ANSI, IEEE standards.
• Advanced experience with AutoCAD, Revit, S3D, Navisworks.
• Modeling electrical equipment, cable tray, conduit.
• Experience with SETROUTE or equivalent cable management.
• Experience in hyperscale data centers, life sciences, or high-reliability facilities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
• Ability to resolve design issues with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and review electrical design work and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and facilitate technical discussions.
• Review key drawings, calculations, and bid summaries.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and standards.
• Coach and train less experienced designers.
• Coordinate 3D model activities with other disciplines.
• Prepare material requisitions and assist bid evaluations.
• Visit job sites to resolve issues and interpret drawings.
