Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Architect to coordinate architectural work on a large API manufacturing facility project in Houston, TX. The role requires planning, reviewing design documents, interpreting regulations, and delivering architectural solutions for complex requirements.

The position is part-time telework with at least three days of in-person attendance weekly at the office or project site, within Bechtel's global telework policy.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture or international equivalent and 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of experience in designing pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Experience coordinating architectural work on large complex projects with unique requirements.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards relevant to architectural work.
• Proficient in BIM and design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work by others.
• Prepares documentation for design and construction phases of projects.
• Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of architectural packages.
• Participates in review of design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, and change orders.
