Job summary

Clallam PUD is seeking an Electrical Engineer to plan, design, and oversee transmission, distribution, substations, and SCADA projects. The role supports district system planning, reliability targets, and maintenance programs to meet mission goals.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with six+ years of electric utility experience and preferred PE licensure. CAD and engineering software proficiency are needed for drawings, specs, and project execution.

Qualifications

• BS EE required; power option preferred.
• Minimum of six years electric utility engineering experience.
• Experience in design, construction and maintenance of transmission, distribution, substations and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Plan, engineer, and design for construction and maintenance of the District's transmission, distribution, substation, and SCADA systems.
• Assist in short and long range planning for system capacity, service reliability, and efficient operation of the system.
• Oversee oil disposal and retro oil fill procedures.
• Plan, develop, and administer contracts for transmission, distribution, substation or SCADA projects.
• Provide forecasts and other information to assist in acquisition of project materials.
• Develop and maintain specifications for transmission, distribution, substation, SCADA and metering standards and materials.
