Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to deliver end-to-end electrical engineering solutions. You will collaborate across operations, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate instrumentation, controls, and power systems for propulsion-related projects.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, knowledge of LV/MV, and hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices. Travel up to 25% and relocation are possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation and controls including VFDs.
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • LOTO and de-energization procedures familiarity.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and implement electrical engineering solutions across instrumentation and controls.
  • Serve as a technical contributor on a small team with broad scope.
  • Interface with operations, manufacturing, test, and partners to gather requirements.
  • Provide engineering input across safety, systems engineering, and quality.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on electrical systems.
  • Support maintenance and procurement of critical spare parts.
  • Configure and support basic networking infrastructures.
  • Apply LOTO and safe-work practices in design and execution.
  • Design electrical systems for hazardous locations and document decisions.
