Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Engineer III to lead the design, construction, and operation of propulsion development test facilities for system and subsystem tests. The role emphasizes test planning, results documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in propulsion testing, experience with electric propulsion systems, and hands-on ability to develop high-pressure test stations and automated test scripts using Python,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related).
• 5+ years in propulsion system development, production and test.

Responsibilities

• Design, procure, assemble, and operate propulsion development test facilities for system and subsystem tests.
• Document and lead discussion of test results and recommended paths forward.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and facilities for delivery of long lead test equipment.
• Work with design and manufacturing teams to provide test insights in reviews.
• Author test plans, test procedures, and test software for high quality and automated testing.
• Develop data aggregation, SPC, and data visualization practices scalable to high-rate production.
