Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace in Florida seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer 2 to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for UAVs and related platforms across R&D and production lines. You will handle embedded firmware, power electronics, RF and battery management, plus documentation and testing using modern version control.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with industry standards. PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with UAV/USV or military electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical systems for UAVs/UGVs/USVs across R&D and production.
• Create and maintain wiring diagrams and schematics with version control (Git).
• Analyze data to ensure compliance with codes, standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and customers to resolve issues.
• Plan installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and support production staff; develop automated test setups.
• Support R&D transitions to production and stay updated on new tech.
