Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II/III to join our team in a diverse range of energy and industrial projects, including oil and gas, power generation, utilities, and renewables. Location options include multiple US cities, with remote work possible.

You will work from concept through commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and progressing from design to field support as needed. The starting salary range reflects experience and location considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field.
• Engineer II: Typically, 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III: Typically, 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license preferred; PE license a plus.
• Practical or hands‑on experience in power, control, and communications systems.
• Direct experience related to power plants and substation design is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Field experience supporting projects in construction is a plus.
• I&C design experience including SCADA, PLC design, and control strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting duties for electrical and control systems.
• Lead moderate to large projects and provide technical direction.
• Develop design documents, diagrams, and wiring plans.
• Procure, install, and test electrical equipment specifications.
• Support field wiring and commissioning activities with design/QA teams.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project leads on design changes.
