Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. is seeking an Engineer II, Electrical to advance hardware development and testing across product families.

You will support new product development and maintain existing line hardware while collaborating with Engineering leaders in a dynamic team environment. You will work on PCB design, validation testing, and production release activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal specs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• End-to-end electronics development with PCB hardware design and embedded systems.
• Solid analog and digital circuit design knowledge.
• Sensing interfacing experience is a plus (magnetic, optical).
• Experience with embedded MCUs/MPUs (8/16/ARM).
• Proficient with test instruments: oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQ, environmental chambers.
• Altium familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware PCB/component circuits and support ongoing issues.
• Verify products with standards (UL/CSA, CE/EMC, FM) and specs.
• Define production test methodologies and fixtures.
• Create release docs for hardware portions.
• Develop work instructions and process docs; manage engineering changes.
• Provide advanced hardware support to other departments.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary project teams on schedules and risks.
