Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Electrical Engineer I for our Midlothian Cement Plant in Texas. You will oversee electrical maintenance, ensure safe and compliant project execution, and support control systems across plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with PLCs, and experience with SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Expect on-call rotations and a strong safety culture within a growing North American operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with PLC programming and process control systems preferred (CTI, PLC-5, SLC500).
• Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians in daily work orders and projects.
• Conduct systematic inspections of electrical equipment and analyze data with diagnostic tools.
• Document electrical schematics and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure system programming meets environmental compliance.
• Maintain master equipment files and regulatory compliance documents.
• Evaluate computer control equipment to meet plant requirements.
• Define and implement changes to process control programs.
• Provide control system training for plant personnel.
• Troubleshoot control system hardware and software issues.
• Support reliability improvements and cost reductions through modifications.
• Be on-call on a rotational basis.
• Promote health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.
