Job summary

ComEd, part of the Exelon family, is seeking an engineer to support planning, design and maintenance of electric infrastructure. You will perform technical analyses, contribute to HV transmission and distribution project work, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and safety across service areas.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 2–4 years of professional experience, familiarity with applicable standards, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent; able to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering data and produce actionable conclusions.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; able to present findings to management.
• Graduate study or certification (EIT/PE) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks with guidance from senior engineers; collect data and analyze results.
• Support design and maintenance of high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
• Assist with project budgeting, scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations and external partners.
• Occasional field inspections and extended hours during storms or outages.
