Job summary

Jacobs in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Energy and Power to drive feasibility studies, design documents, and construction oversight for market-leading energy projects.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop concept plans through full execution, applying engineering fundamentals and creative solutions to deliver reliable, sustainable energy systems. PE registration preferred; hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of design/consulting experience.
• HV or MV Substations experience.
• Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after guidance by lead engineer.

Responsibilities

• Provide feasibility studies, construction documents and construction oversight for energy projects.
• Develop concept-level plans and solutions, then take through detailed design to full execution.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
