Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical Engineer focused on energy and power projects. You will engage with clients, develop feasibility studies, and drive designs from concept through full execution in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of design/consulting experience, strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
• At least 4 years of design/consulting experience
• Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Ability to work independently with minor supervision once given guidance by lead engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide feasibility studies, construction documents and construction oversight for energy projects.
• Develop concept-level plans and solutions through detailed design to full execution.
• Communicate effectively and solve problems in a multi-disciplinary team
• Support decarbonization/climate response planning where applicable
