Job summary
Jacobs is hiring an Electrical Engineer - Energy and Power to engage with clients, evaluate energy needs, and develop concept-level plans that progress to detailed design and full execution. You will build feasibility studies and construction documents with a strong emphasis on communication and problem solving.
The role supports design and consulting for energy projects, requiring collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver reliable, sustainable energy solutions and decarbonization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
- At least 4 years of design/consulting experience
- HV or MV Substations experience
- Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently with minor supervision once given guidance by lead engineer
Responsibilities
- Provide feasibility studies, construction documents and construction oversight for energy projects.
- Engage with clients to evaluate energy needs and develop concept-level plans.
- Carry designs through detailed design to full execution of the solution.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver reliable and sustainable energy projects.
