Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Advanced Manufacturing group, contributing to data center facility design and power distribution. You will design, review, and integrate electrical systems across large facilities, collaborating with engineers and clients to deliver safe, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide design work and contribute to team technical collaboration.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages.
• Assist directly with other portions of the design process.
• Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
• Engineer and design power distribution systems, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule.
