Job summary

Olin is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for Fall 2027 in Freeport, TX. The role focuses on reliability, design, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. It also involves participating in small capital projects from justification through installation.

You will lead multiple projects, support policy development for preventative maintenance, and contribute to turnarounds and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times during your time at Olin.
• An official transcript will be required each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC and possess a valid US driver’s license.
• Olin does not provide sponsorship; eligible to work in the United States.
• Individuals on temporary visas are not eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, defined at rotation start.
• Provide reliability leadership for instruments, valves, and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Support maintenance in developing policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Participate in plant turnarounds, update P&IDs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
