Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Irvine, CA to lead electrical design on large institutional projects. The role involves coordinating a design team, ensuring code compliance, and driving timely document delivery.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, 2+ years of building electrical design experience, and a PE license or equivalent. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI and EasyPower is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE or P.Eng).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through schematic design and contract document phases.
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule; assume the electrical lead on projects.
• Direct activities of other electrical engineers and staff; conduct QA/QC on their work.
