Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design initiatives for building projects in a dynamic environment. You will perform construction administration, lead electrical efforts, and coordinate with project teams to meet aggressive schedules.

The role requires a PE/P.Eng license, 10+ years of electrical design experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD and MS Office. You will mentor staff and engage with code officials as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Requires professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng).
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
• Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction administration for various market sector projects.
• Lead the electrical lead on assigned projects.
• Coordinate workload through project development to meet schedule.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Direct activities of other electrical engineering staff and mentor them as needed.
